Disable Battery Saver

During content updates, it is recommended that you plug devices in to power supplies. However, if the content update is taking place on devices that relies on battery power, disable the battery saver feature. This will speed up the download process.

There are a couple ways to accomplish this task.

Disable the battery saver

  1. Tap the Windows icon at the bottom left, and tap Settings as shown below.

  2. Tap System as shown below.

  3. Tap the battery option and change/update the settings on the device.

Disable the battery saver from taskbar

  1. Tap the battery icon at the bottom right of the screen.

  2. Tap Power & sleep settings.

  3. Ensure all options in the drop-down are set to Never.
