Update Content for K-1 App on iOS

Preconditions

K-1 app is loaded on your device.
Correct configuration code is entered in iPad Settings .
Units are downloaded for ELA and/or Math. 1-3 units previously downloaded or all units downloaded via sideload.

Updating Content Using OTA (Over the Air)

Expected Result: User logs in to the Pearson System of Courses K-1 app and sees the Unit menu that displays all units previously downloaded.

Select the System Tray icon in the upper-left corner.

Expected Result: Screen slides to the right, showing the Math System Tray on the left side with Book Builder, Inbox, Unit Selection, Assessment Manager and Assessment Reports, Teacher Support, Settings, and Logout buttons. In Math, Assessment Manager and Assessment Reports will not be present.

In the System Tray, tap the Settings button in the lower-left corner.

Expected Result: System tray closes, and the Settings screen displays.

In Settings, observe any content changes that have been made to the app.

Expected Result: Content changes made from previous dates will display.

Tap Update Content.

Expected Result: App will begin downloading new content that has been made available to the user.

Observe Units updating content.

Expected Result: Content Manager will update units. If units are not available for update, existing units will not be updated, but new units are shown as “Added.” Content Changes will be reflected for the date Update Content button was selected.

Updating Content for Sideloading

Preconditions

App is installed.
Content Side Load has been completed with new content files using iTunes.
Correct configuration code has been entered in iPad Settings.

Log into the app using your user name and password.

Expected Result: User logs in to the Pearson System of Courses K-1 app.

User is brought to the Unit menu that displays all units previously sideloaded.

Expected Result: All units previously downloaded display.

Select the System Tray icon in the upper left corner.

Expected Result: Content changes will be reflected for the date Update Content button was selected.
