Release 21.2.4 - March 20, 2021
Corrections
Improvements for EasyBridge Syncing
SuccessMaker’s sync flow, that is responsible for importing rostering data from Student Information Systems (SIS) into SuccessMaker, has been enhanced. The changes made in this release will resolve previously reported synchronization issues, improving customers' rostering experience.
-
Reporting will now only show students that belong to a group. Previously, teachers were seeing students multiple times, and students that they do not teach.
-
Sync flow no longer creates duplicate homeroom groups where multiple teachers are associated with a class.
-
For districts that have a teacher leave the org, or where the teacher no longer teaches the class, the custom group and/or SIS group is removed and the students are moved to the unassigned teacher/unassigned group.
-
Classes can be imported with no lead teacher assigned. SuccessMaker will still create the group with the student roster, but those students will not be assigned to the teacher(s) in the class -- even if the student does not currently have a teacher assignment. There should be no impact to the student here, as students can still be assigned work and teachers/admins can still report on these groups and students.
-
A student will not change teacher assignment (and won't be added to that teacher's homeroom group) if a new class comes in with a separate teacher assignment.
-
A homeroom group is invisible to the user interface and used for back-end database purposes only.
-
Changes to this group were to clean up logic on the back-end and should have no immediate, visible impact on users other than to ensure proper database functionality.
-
-
Teachers (rostered to classes) created in A&E (Access and Entitlements; formerly Rumba) are created in SuccessMaker.
-
Teachers (rostered to classes) updated in A&E are updated in SuccessMaker.
-
Students (rostered to classes) created in A&E are created in SuccessMaker.
-
Students (rostered to classes) updated in A&E are updated in SuccessMaker.
-
Teachers with more than one org are synced into SuccessMaker.
-
Going forward only classes from the EasyBridge rostering integration that have the SuccessMaker product assigned are synced into SuccessMaker.
