End of Year Forecast

The End of Year Forecast dashboard offers early insights into student performance by integrating End-of-Year (EOY) forecasts. These forecasts, generated by MetaMetrics’ forecasting API and Quantile data from BOY and MOY Momentum Math diagnostics, will project student outcomes based on current assessment data. They will align with either state-specific summative targets (where Quantiles are used on state reporting) or Momentum performance levels .

Administrators with access to Forecast dashboard cannot make selections for ‘School Year’ filter and the current school year will automatically be selected for viewing the dashboard.

Dashboard charts

Momentum End-of-Year Assessment Forecast

This visualization displays how students are most likely to perform on the Momentum End-of-Year (EOY) assessment based on their current Quantile measure. Numbers and percentages reflect the forecast with the highest statistical likelihood for each student. Select a segment of the chart to open the Student Details report to show student-level data for that segment.

State Test Assessment Forecast

This visualization displays student performance projections based on state-assessed grades. In instances where applicable state tests exist (e.g., SBAC), the forecasts shall establish a direct correlation to these summative assessments. Select a segment of the chart to open the Student Details report to show student-level data for that segment.

EOY Forecast Student Details Report

The End-of-year forecast dashboard allows administrators to select most data points to view the Student Details report which lists the students that make up the data point. This makes it possible to quickly access student-level data and further expand or refine filters to explore more data.

In accordance with the other Momentum Diagnostic Assessments, Forecast scores are calculated based on first submissions of a diagnostic per program per student in the school year.

Report Elements

The following are available in the Momentum Diagnostic Assessment Student Details report:

Student Details Filters

This report is pre-filtered based on the selection in the dashboard which opened it. For example, if the dashboard is filtered for a specific program, school, and teacher, and you select the segment of students who are forecasted to score as Does not meet for Grade K, then the EOY Forecast Student Details report opens with the specific program, school, and teacher filtered, as well as the Grade and Forecast filter pre-selected for Grade K and Does not meet performance level.

To refine or expand upon this list of students, use the filters to update the data in the report:

  1. To search for a specific student or students, enter the Student Name in the search field and then select Enter or select the magnifying glass icon in the Search bar.

  2. To remove the search term, select the Close icon in the Search bar.

    • The students available in the Student Name search bar are only those available in the report according to all the current filters applied.

    • If a student's name is not populated after Search, expand the filters to include School, Class, Grade, etc. that the student may fall into.

  • Filter the results by grade using the Grade filter and select Apply.

Grade is determined by the grade of the program from which the diagnostic assessments were assigned. Only the grades that have data available and are in the Program Family will appear as an option in the filter.

  • Filter the results using the School filter and select Apply.

The School filter contains only the schools with assessment data in the selected Grade filter, dashboard-level School Year, Program Family, and Program filters.

  • Filter the results using the Teacher filter and select Apply.

The Teacher filter contains only the primary teacher for classes who have assessment data in the selected School and Grade filters, dashboard-level School Year, Program Family, and Program filters.

  • Filter the results using the Class filter and select Apply.

The Class filter contains only the classes that are associated with teachers selected in the Teacher filter and have data in the selected School and Grade filters, dashboard-level School Year, Program Family, and Program filters.

  • Filter the results using the Forecast filter and select Apply.

The next four columns show the likelihood that a student falls within a forecasting level regardless of the filters selected. The Forecast basis column shows which assessment types the forecasting data is based on;

Student Count

The Students in this group count in the top left of the report reflects the number of students in the list below, according to the active set of filters in the report. This count is affected by all of the filters as well as the Student Name search.

Send Raw Data

The Send Raw Data button allows administrators to export a raw data CSV file of the data presented in the report. The raw data CSV provides additional details about each student in the report. See the Report Data Elements section below for details about what data will be included in the raw data CSV file.

The Realize Reports Send Report Data feature is used to send the raw data.

Report Data Elements

Press the sort arrows in any report column header to sort the report content by the data in that column.

In the raw data CSV export, all rows displayed on the screen are included to meet the filter criteria.

Elements Data Descriptions
Student Name

Student’s first and last name.

In the raw data CSV, this field is split into Student First Name and Student Last Name.

Student Username (in Raw Data CSV only) The student’s username.
Student ID and Source ID (in Raw Data CSV only) Student identifiers provided by the district when syncing from the district SIS with EasyBridge.
School

The school associated to the class the student was in at the time the assessments were assigned.

Teacher name

The name of the primary teacher of the class the student belonged to at the time the assessments were assigned.

In the raw data CSV, this field is split as Teacher First Name and Teacher Last Name.

Teacher Username (in Raw Data CSV only) The username of the primary teacher of the class the student belonged to at the time the assessments were assigned.
Class The Class includes the students belonging at the time of the assessments assigned.
Program grade

The Program grade of the assessments assigned to the student.

Forecast Assessment Forecast assessment includes the assessment to which the student is being forecasted to. For example: (Momentum EOY, SBAC, ATLAS)
Forecast Assessment State The state of the test being forecasted to. For Momentum forecast, "NA"
Forecast basis

Forecast basis includes the list of assessments used to generate the forecast result

Forecast result The forecasted level for the student
Likelihood

The likelihood columns include the likelihood scores of students across 4-5 different levels.

  • Level 1: The likelihood that the student will score in the lowest level for the assessment.

The header of this column is dynamic. For Momentum, this column will be "Likelihood - Does not meet". Others may be "Likelihood - Below Proficiency", "Likelihood - Level 1", "Likelihood - Does Not Meet Standards", etc.

  • Level 2: The likelihood that the student will score in the second level for the assessment.

The header of this column is dynamic. For Momentum, this column will be "Likelihood - Approaching". Others may be "Likelihood - Approaching Proficiency", "Likelihood - Level 2", "Likelihood - Partially Meets Standards", etc.

  • Level 3: The likelihood that the student will score in the third level for the assessment.

The header of this column is dynamic. For Momentum, this column will be "Likelihood - Meets". Others may be "Likelihood - At Proficiency", "Likelihood - Level 3", "Likelihood - Meets Standards", etc.

  • Level 4: The likelihood that the student will score in the fourth level for the assessment.

The header of this column is dynamic. For Momentum, this column will be "Likelihood - Exceeds". Others may be "Likelihood - Above Proficiency", "Likelihood - Level 4", "Likelihood - Exceeds Standards", etc.

  • Level 5: The likelihood that the student will score in the fifth level for the assessment.
