Student Details Report

The Momentum Diagnostic Assessment Dashboards allow administrators to select most data points to view the Student Details report which lists the students that make up the data point. This makes it possible to quickly access student-level data and further expand or refine filters to explore more data.

In accordance with the intended use of Momentum Diagnostic Assessments, these visualizations report only on the first submission of a diagnostic per program per student in the school year. To access data from subsequent submissions, you can use Momentum Diagnostic Assessment Details report.

If a student moves from one school or class to another school or class within the school year, this report shows the school or class that the student was in at the time their most recent assessment was assigned or submitted. For example, if they took their beginning-of-year assessment in Lakewood Elementary in Grade 1 Math Section 2, and then took their middle-of-year assessment in Brentwood Elementary in Grade 1 Math Section 6, their result on both assessments will appear in Brentwood Elementary and Grade 1 Math Section 6.

Report Elements

The following are available in the Momentum Diagnostic Assessment Student Details report:

Student Details Filters

This report is pre-filtered based on the selection in the dashboard which opened it. For example, if the dashboard is filtered for a specific program, school, and teacher, and you select the segment of students who scored as Approaching expectations for the beginning-of-year assessment, then the Student Details report opens with the specific program, school, and teacher filtered, as well as the BOY filter pre-selected for the Approaching performance level.

To refine or expand upon this list of students, use the filters to update the data in the report:

  1. To search for a specific student or students, enter the Student Name in the search field and then select Enter or select the magnifying glass icon in the Search bar.

  2. To remove the search term, press the Close icon in the Search bar.

    • The students available in the Student Name search bar are only those available in the report according to all the current filters applied.

    • If a student's name is not populated after Search, expand the filters to include School, Class, Grade, etc. that the student may fall into.

  • Filter the results by grade using the Program Grade filter and press Apply.

Program Grade is determined by the grade of the program from which the diagnostic assessment was assigned. Only the grades that have data available and are in the Program Family will appear as an option in the filter.

  • Filter the results using the School filter and press Apply.

The School filter contains only the schools with assessment data in the selected Program Grade filter, dashboard-level School Year, Program Family, and Program filters.

  • Filter the results using the Teacher filter and press Apply.

The Teacher filter contains only the primary teacher for classes who have assessment data in the selected School and Program Grade filters, dashboard-level School Year, Program Family, and Program filters.

  • Filter the results using the Class filter and press Apply.

The Class filter contains only the classes that are associated with teachers selected in the Teacher filter and have data in the selected School and Program Grade filters, dashboard-level School Year, Program Family, and Program filters.

The remaining filter options in this report depend on the available data and licenses for your district. Assessment filters allow you to filter students by their performance levels achieved on assessments, and growth filters allow you to filter students by positive or negative growth on assessments. These filters are static filters, and the options are not updated based on the other filters.

Student Count

The Students in this group count in the top left of the report reflects the number of students in the list below, according to the active set of filters in the report. This count is affected by all of the filters as well as the Student Name search.
